Simpson Off-Road Engineering presents our full turbocharger kit for 1HZ Owners - packaging our proven 1HZ-T accessories, with a billet wheel CT26 Turbocharger from Arashi Dynamics. This package includes everything needed to turn your 1HZ into a reliable tourer with power levels on par with a standard VDJ Landcruiser.
The turbo we’ve chosen for this package is the proven Arashi billet wheel CT26. This turbo takes design cues from the 1HD-T and 1HD-FT factory Toyota design with similar compressor and turbine specs, but raises the bar with quicker spool and more boost - providing impressive, yet reliable power figures after tuning (standard fuel pump: 140RWHP, upgraded fuel pump: 180RHWP+).
Our 1HZ turbocharger kits consist of the following:
1) A choice of:
a) Simpson Off-Road Engineering 1HZ / CT26 Manifold Adaptor Kit (includes studs/gaskets/hardware, to bolt a CT26 Turbo to the standard 1HZ manifold)
OR
b) OEM Toyota Manifold Section from factory-turbo engine. This converts a standard 1HZ manifold, to a 1HD-T turbo manifold. This option means any off-the-shelf exhaust to suit a factory turbo Landcruiser will fit without modification (includes studs/gaskets/o-rings to bolt CT26 Turbo to manifold). Please note, for this option, the rear section of the original 1HZ manifold must be used.
2) Simpson Off-Road Engineering 3” Intake Hose Kit, with Crankcase Breather hose option included
3) Simpson Off-Road Crossover Pipe Link kit, with Boost Reference Port fitting option included
4) Simpson Off-Road Engineering Oil Supply/Return Line Kit, OR optional Oil and Water Cooling Line kit
5) Arashi Dynamics CT26 Billet Wheel Turbocharger, pre-set to an ideal 1HZ boost level of 16 Psi (additional wastegate springs are included if a different boost level is required)

We recommend professional installation during fitment of turbocharger to ensure setup is correct - boost settings vary depending on fuel pump tune, intercooler fitment, etc - but, fitting at home is within scope of most handy 4x4 enthusiasts. All that’s left is to choose an exhaust! When using our 1HZ manifold adaptor, a custom system from the turbo back is often the best method - we can supply a laser cut CT26 Exhaust Flange if required. If using an off-the shelf, factory-style HDJ exhaust system, prepare to make a minor cut/weld of the dump pipe, to suit the slightly clocked turbo angle.
If choosing the OEM Toyota Factory Turbo manifold section option, any off-the shelf, factory-style HDJ exhaust system will fit.
The turbocharger in this kit is directly sourced from Arashi Dynamics, and covered by Arashi’s 1 year warranty (turbocharger components only). Any and all turbo-related enquiries or warranty discussions will be forwarded to Arashi Dynamics beyond supply. Please note, we recommend professional installation and tuning to ensure correct boost pressure and fuelling is achieved.
